In 2013, Amani Olu and Larry Ossei-Mensah organized three editions of Cocktails and Curators, an event that honored and celebrated the achievements of curator with MEDIUM's Curatorial Excellence Award. Past awardees include Paola Antonelli (Senior Curator, Department of Architecture and Design/Director of R&D, The Museum of Modern Art), Mary Ceruti (Executive Director/Chief Curator, SculptureCenter) and Klaus Biesenbach (Director, MoMA PS1/Chief Curator at Large, The Museum of Modern Art). Past hosts include Spike Jonze, Diana Picasso, Hannah Bronfman, Lex Fenwick, Laura de Gunzburg and Eleanor Cayre.
